IN-05 is in Play: Ford Momentum Moves Three Race Ratings with 15 Days to Go
Carmel, IN – With 15 days until Election Day, J.D. Ford’s campaign is surging, with record fundraising, a growing field operation and three race ratings moving in its favor.
$768,000+ raised in Q3 into the campaign’s committee and victory fund from over 2,150 unique donors, more than 90% of them Hoosiers.
25,000+ doors knocked by 150 volunteers across all six counties within the district.
Three ratings changes: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Fox News all moving IN-05 in Ford’s favor.
Ford’s grassroots support is a sharp contrast with Victoria Spartz, who had to loan her own campaign $450,000. Excluding the loan, most of her money came from outside Indiana.
Ford was endorsed Friday by the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund, the campaign arm of the House Democrats’ largest caucus, which champions pragmatic, pro-growth, pro-innovation policy. Ford is one of 50 candidates NDAF is backing nationwide to flip Republican-held seats. The message is clear: the road to a Democratic House majority runs through Indiana’s 5th District.
“Our campaign is working every day to earn the trust and vote of the people of the 5th District. My opponent Victoria Spartz spent the last six years in Congress working to line her own pockets and vote against the people of the 5th District. The lack of support for her campaign is a reflection of that. Voters are ready for new representation, and I’m ready to fight for them in Washington to lower costs, take on corruption, and bring real solutions for Hoosiers,” said J.D. Ford.

About J.D.: J.D. Ford is running for Congress in Indiana's 5th Congressional District. He grew up in a working-class family as the son of a union truck driver and an assisted living administrator, with grandparents who served as local officials. J.D. learned early that public service is about people, not power. He served two terms in the Indiana State Senate, where he fought to lower the cost of lifesaving medication, strengthen public education, and ensure every Hoosier gets a fair shot. He's running to bring a working-class perspective to Washington and make life more affordable for every Hoosier.
