The Issues

Hoosiers are working hard, doing everything right and yet still falling behind. I am running for Congress because it should not be this way. I grew up in a union family in the Midwest. My dad was a truck driver and my mom was a school secretary.  They worked hard and were able to provide for our family. Sadly, that promise of the middle class is no longer guaranteed.

I am angry that politicians have stopped listening to what's important to Hoosiers and no longer work for their constituents. I’m a firm believer that you either participate in government or government participates for you.  I'm running to help Hoosiers, to be someone who hears what's on your mind and brings solutions to Washington D.C. Victoria Spartz spent six years in Congress doing the bidding for big corporations and doing nothing as your costs increase. I will put Hoosiers, not billionaire corporations, first. We can’t afford politics as usual.

Affordability

Today, too many Hoosiers who work hard like my parents did are struggling to make ends meet. Big corporations and politicians like Victoria Spartz keep rigging the rules against folks like us. That ends now. I'll fight to control skyrocketing costs and put Hoosier families before corporate profits.

  • Housing: Ban Wall Street hedge funds from buying up single-family homes to keep the dream of homeownership alive for Hoosier families.

  • Groceries: Reverse tariffs that drive up the cost of groceries and everyday products.

  • Healthcare & Medicine: Protect and expand federal subsidies to lower premiums and cap the cost of life-saving prescriptions like insulin.

  • Utility Costs: Require data centers to pay for their own energy impact and infrastructure, protecting consumers from skyrocketing bills.

  • Social Security: "Scrap the Cap" on earnings over $250,000 to ensure the wealthy pay their fair share and restore staffing at local field offices so seniors can get the help they’ve earned.

  • Marijuana Modernization: De-schedule marijuana at the federal level to capture tax revenue.

Accountabilty

I’ve been one of the most accessible members of Indiana’s General Assembly and that will continue in Washington. I’ll hold regular town halls, meet with constituents, and keep your concerns at the top of my priorities list. When I’m in Congress, I’ll work for you.

  • Immigration Reform: Modernize our immigration system and ensure all border and immigration enforcement agencies are fully accountable to Congressional oversight.

  • Reverse DOGE Cuts: Restore staffing in Social Security offices and immigration courtrooms to make processes efficient and effective.

  • Federal Agency Oversight: Investigate the DHS and DOJ for bypassing judicial warrants and suppressing First Amendment rights; ensuring no agency is above the law.

  • Transparency in Enforcement: Require federal agents to meet or exceed local de-escalation standards and ensure all enforcement actions are supported by signed judicial warrants.

  • Banking Reform: Pass the SAFE Banking Act to move the cannabis industry into a transparent, regulated, and professional banking system.

Hoosier Voices

I’ve been one of the most accessible members of Indiana’s General Assembly and that will continue in Washington. With regular town halls and public contact information, I will keep your concerns at the top of my priorities list. As soon as I’m in Congress, I’ll take action on the issues I’ve already heard from Hoosiers.

Here’s how:
  • Reproductive Freedom: Protect a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions by codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law.

  • Rights for All Americans: Pass the Equality Act to ensure that no American faces discrimination in housing, employment, or public spaces.

  • Marijuana Policy: Modernize our laws to reflect the 90% of Hoosiers who support some form of legalization.

  • Gun Safety: Implement universal background checks and protect Red Flag (Jake Laird) laws to keep our neighborhoods and schools safe.

  • Veteran Services: Simplify the VA claims process and expand access to mental healthcare for those who served.

  • Labor & Jobs: Fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to organize without interference.
